~ 7:52 PM ~
We woke up early. Train to Taichung would leave at 10+. We packed our stuff, locked up the bulkier luggages in the storeroom the hostel provides, and left for our destination for the next four days.
Having never taken a train before, I excitedly took photos:

After we reached Taichung, we had to take a long bus ride to the region where our Taichung hostel reside. What astounded us as the first impression of this city was that there are NO PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS in the non-central part of the city! Where we lived, we had to look at the traffic ourselves and crossed accordingly.
Anyway, we had our lunch and explored the places near the hostel with eagle eyes. We found this elegant restaurant/cafe in the region. Unlike the rundown look of the rest of the city, this restaurant portrays a sense of beauty and class. The waiters and waitresses were very kind and helpful. One of them even gave us some directions as to which attractions are available in the vicinity.
Suddenly, it rained and we decided it would be much better to stay in this safe house of elegance. We ordered fries and drinks and some cakes:

The rain was long, and we were bored. So me and ZY took interesting photos of ourselves.

Finally the rain turned into drizzle, so we went back to the hostel. The ongoing drizzle didn't dampen our spirits, and we went forth to the hot springs that night. Details are... not suitable for the majority of the readers (*wink*), so I shall not elaborate. Feeling the entire body loosen up and relax in the spring makes me enjoy my submergence into the mineral-enriched water. A wonderful way to conclude my first day in Taichung!
