The announcement was a disaster. It was not the fault of the spokesperson of course. Neither is it the listeners. Who is to be blamed, then? Who is responsible for this act of disrespect? I do not point to names, for the list will go on and on. It is the people. People who put their leaders up and leave them there. High up on the icy top floor, the new generation of leaders have lost contact with the people.

The voters have disgraced democracy, and now suffers from their misdeeds. Unwise and ignorant choices lead only to certain collapse of the ruling hierarchy. Today they ignore the announcements of the new Council; tomorrow they may just ignore the law. What for choose the Council when they have no regard for them?

As I recall saying many times, the blind now refuses to listen to the leader. We cannot say that the leader is far-seeing, but the collective wisdom makes the leader more capable of leading. We presume that was the main reason of electing the leader. Now we know the true purpose - there is no purpose. The blind had to choose, and made a random choice.

Do we ban the blind from casting a random vote? We do not, for that defeats the purpose of a democracy. However, not doing it destroys the system. This is a dilemma many nations face, not only the Republic. The blind is so common that many think they are not blind, simply because they are part of the majority. The job of us, as the people who can see, is to channel their energy into learning how to see. The tradition will propagate until the day when all have sight.

As for the new Council, I express my deepest condolences. Perhaps a few actions may prove that the leaders are capable? Until then, it is probably very feasible to initiate a series of sessions to educate. Be it active or passive.
