It was unlikely, but I watched almost the whole funeral procession of Pope John Paul II over BBC live. The main reason is that I am not a Roman Catholic, or anything close. Still, it seemed to be a must that I view this last moment of him.
He was a great man, who helped relieved his home coungtry Poland from the oppressive Communist rule. He was also only pope who did not stay in the Vatican forever. He was a travelling pope.
Some say he performed miracles; others say he was magnimous. I say he is the only one alive now that can be called a 'philanthropist'- One who loves mankind.
